De Staat support dEUS abroad
It’s been buzzing for a while in the Netherlands… De Staat are rocking their way through de Popronde and at the same time the rest of the world found their MySpace, finding out this is something different and special.
The record, Wait for Evolution, isn’t even out till January 2009, but the band are playing abroad already. De Staat will be supporting dEUS in Dublin, Manchester and London. And then head back to Groningen to continue de Popronde at Vera.

If you are within the mood for standard African fare, you’ll have to try pap, that’s produced from maize meal (Africa’s staple meals), dumplings, mogodu (tripe) umqushu (samp) and beans, smiley’s (boiled sheep’s head) amadumbe (a potato-like tuber) morogo (African spinach) and always inyama (meat).
